Biospecimens Inventory

The biorepository comprises hundreds of thousands of unique donor cases of FFPE tissues with their original H&E slides, from all organ systems, and includes normal tissues, benign non-neoplastic pathologies and both benign and malignant tumors of all diagnoses (carcinomas, melanomas, lymphomas and leukemias; sarcomas; mesotheliomas). Specimens include large tumor reductive surgical excision specimens with generous tumor volume blocks, biopsies (endoscopic and core needle biopsies) and cytology specimens (both FNAs and exfoliative cytology brushings, washings, and lavages).  Matched benign tissue is available with the malignant tissues, for comparative genomic studies. All cases have detailed pathology related data, including tumor grade and stage, and many tumors have molecular data.

Control tissues:

  1. All normal tissues available

  2. Resection tissue blocks positive for H. Pylori – with confirmatory H. pylori immunostains

  3. Resection tissue amyloid blocks

  4. Tonsils, for lymphoid marker positive controls
